Joe Coastie
Morning everyone. I am contemplating riding my '98 1100RT from south central Pa to Huachaca City, Az. Come late spring or early summer. Planning on changing all the fluids, lubing things, spark plugs, air filter, and new Metzeler Z8 tires. 58 and change on the clock. Anything else I should check? Thoughts and comments are welcome. Joe Coastie
Got good rain gear, tire plugpatch kit and air comp in tool bag. Another question: I was told the newer type of he's has a different looking outer "insulation" than the older version. Any truth to it ? Link to comment

Hosstage
No work on the bike a week before you leave. Ride it, but no maintenance. It sounds like you have the major components covered. Link to comment
