$2 helmet lock extensions.

Inspired by a post from "Larry" a week or so ago, I made these helmet lock extensions out of 3/32" coated cable. The ends are terminated with a swaged (not hammered) ferrule. The length between each terminator is 4".

 

 

Just slide one loop into the existing helmet lock, the other end thru' the helmet's D-ring and back to the helmet lock. I also found it convenient and more secure to turn the direction of the helmet lock forward by 90 degrees.

 

Since I bought the swaging tool, I figured I might as well share the joy. $2 each (my cost) plus shipping gets you the same. If you want a bigger length, let me know.
