ofrogg
Anyone know of any risers or bar backs for the R1200ST?\ Links? Vendors? Link to comment
R4ND0M_AX3
There are two kits that I'm aware of. I don't have any links on me. One is from AC-Schnitzer and replaces the top plate with one that accepts a standard bar. The other lets you mount the stock clip-on above the top plate. Link to comment
Burt
Verholen has replacement bars that are higher. Link to comment

Yeah, those are the ones Dan is talking about in his post that mount the brackets on top of the triple clamp. http://www.verholen.de/einbau/r1200st_lenkererhoeung_verdrehabsicherung.pdf Link to comment

There's a member on here who has those. Here is the AC schnitzer stuff. Third photo down is the superbike bar kit. http://www.ac-schnitzer.com/englisch/motorrad/modelle/r_1200st_rt Link to comment

This is my first BMW so I do not understand how this does not change the attitude of the bike. Can someone please explain this to me? I would be most appreciative. James Link to comment
TonyT607
q2bruiser, I assume you're referring to the bike handling, dynamics, etc ? I test rode the ST stock and thought it was ok, but I knew I'd prefer it with risers. I had my dealer install the MV Verholen bar backs prior to delivery and WOW. The bike is super comfortable, not too much of a crouch, and I feel like I can ride all day with no problems. I can't say it affects the bike at all in terms of its dynamics. The visible difference is that the bars are now mounted above the triple clamp instead of just below it. For reference I'm 5'9", 30 inch inseam, 33" sleeves. Standard seat mounted in the 'low' position. Link to comment
R4ND0M_AX3
the question of the kit changing the way the bike handles (because of steering geometry changes) has been brought up before. I don't remember the answer if any. Must have not been significant. I seam to remember something about the telelever making it not a big deal. Link to comment
