JimmR75
I have a new-to-me 1997 R1100RT that I am sorting out. When acquired (1 month, <300 miles ago), the brake light was working normally I realized this evening that it appears to be on permanently. I pulled the taillight assembly and confirmed that both the taillight (lower bulb) and brake light (upper bulb) are both illuminated. I checked the micro-switch on the rear brake pedal and it is properly positioned and being actuated by the rear brake pedal. Per the electrical diagram that I have the front and rear brake levers pass power and both the tail and brake lights share a common ground. Is this the case or do the switches create a ground? Any suggestions or troubleshooting sequence will be appreciated before I start chasing gremlins. Thanks in advance. - Jim Link to comment

Tri750
Check to see if the front master is leaking . I have a new front brake switch avail. Price TBA , but check out if yours is sticking and can be fixed or master issue or what. Busy season here so text or email is better than here for communication. 559-288-1490 Tri750@hotmail.com Link to comment
