geoff kooris
I have a 99 R1100R. I put a hack on it, and I didn’t have a need for the kickstand, obviously. I removed the switch from the kickstand and reattached the wire so the bike will start. My question is, can I just put the two wires together so I won’t have to find a good place to stow the kill switch? Thanks, Geoff Link to comment

With no side stand there is no need to keep the factory switch. Just hook the wires together with a non-failing moisture proof connection. Link to comment

Appreciate the reply! ...and now that you’ve solved that problem, how about showing us the hack? I’d be very interested if you happened to start a thread about it.... Link to comment
