They look like great gloves, but I can't see how that much glove could be considered a summer glove in Texas with heat indexes far in excess of 100...How did they do in winter in your geo?

Those are definitely not winter gloves. They're perforated and really most suitable to 70+ degrees. Not waterproof. Tested in NJ so our summers are not Texas hot, but 100+ is possible.
