k1200r oil change - difference between '06 and '07

I just finished changing the oil in my '07 k1200r sport for the first time.  After watching several videos on the subject, I noticed that the '06 seemed to have a drain plug that, when removed, like the R bikes, drains all the oil from the bike.  Where as like the k1300s, the '07 model uses the oil level hose method that takes alot longer.

 

Can someone else please confirm this to be true or false?
