SteveS RT
I've had my 2014 RT for a week now and dropped my front wheel off to get a new tire. While moving it around I hear a "chink" sound and find that both disks have some play in them. I can move each one, just a little, maybe 0.010" or less. is that normal? Other bikes i've had have been very solidly mounted. Steve Link to comment

DR, if there were excessive play in the rotors, could that be the cause of the high-speed vibration? Cap Link to comment
SteveS RT
I was wondering if it could be related.... but i'll have a new tires on the bike by this weekend. Link to comment

Cap Afternoon Cap Possible, but the rotors should not be loose enough to run out far enough to cause issues (at least at speeds that a BMW can move at). Most if not all of the looseness or play should only be in the rotation direction. Link to comment
AndyS
The disc movement should only be lateral, not rotational. So they should not induce vibration. Link to comment
