Fuse 3 stays energized even with key out of bike.  Drains battery.  RID stays active and does not display accurate info.... Any idea of what the heck is going on here?

Morning  McDuugle

Fuse #3 is supposed to stay energized even with the key removed as that is a battery-direct fuse (always hot). This is what keeps the clock from losing it's set time.

See what happens when you turn the kill switch (engine stop switch) to off ????

There are 2 power inputs to the RID, one is that #3 fuse 'always hot circuit' & the other is direct from the ignition switch that goes on & off with the key (this one goes through the kill switch & side stand switch with no fuse in the circuit).

Difficult to tell a lot without more testing but your problem sounds like either an internal RID problem, or an ignition switch problem, 'or' you have a sneak-circuit back feeding from some added accessory.

(Those are some strange looking numbers on that RID)

I think its my battery going bad... Took the fuse  out overnight.  Plugged it back in, everything looked normal again(RID), and functioned properly.  But the bike would not start again, just loud clicking from the starter.... Ordered a new battery, will get it Wednesday....  Have the current one on a slow charge, even though the charge worked yesterday, no luck today....
