I listened more closely than usual to a reading of the Declaration this morning. It's unsurprising that last year some people, catching it midway through, complained that it was leftist propaganda against our current President. The Declaration is a genuinely revolutionary document.

"free and independent states" now there's a rub of today's society.

Revolutionary - yes, that was the intent.
