Ted Porter's Aftermarket Drive Shaft for pre-2008's?

Half the price of a BMW replacement.  Any one here tried one?  Any thoughts?

While we're on the subject...  I don't see drive shaft R&R on the reprom.  Am I missing it?  Anyone have a link to a how to on this?

Th procedure is there in the older RepRoms  but seems to be missing-in-action in some of the later RepRoms.

 

It is very difficult to post the old RepRom procedure due to the convoluted way that BMW links to the independent sub procedures in the RepRom.

 

You basically need to remove the swingarm (on the hexhead RT) as the shaft won't slide through the swing arm like it does on the GS.

 

So you can get the basic procedure by looking up final drive removal then looking up front swing arm boot replacement.

 

I do have an older RepRom that contains the entire procedure so if you have any specific questions just ask.
