Bigfish
About to embark on my 24,000 service. First time with the Hexhead. Do I need to remove the Gas Tank to get to the air filter. My JVB service DVD shows him on a GS with tank removed. Wondering if filter can be changed without removing tank. Any other reason to remove tank for this service? Link to comment

Be careful of the R/H throttle cable & pull the (snap the) plastic snorkel locks out (will only snap out a ways, won't totally remove). Link to comment
Bigfish
Thanks DR. I was hoping that was the case. Looks like the Brake Bleed is super simple too with no whizzy brakes on my 09. Really no need to remove tank anymore. Nice! Link to comment
