T-88
Greetings, all. I've worn out a 15 year old Nelson-Riggs bike cover and would appreciate your recommendations. I want two covers; one for outdoor summer only storage, and one half cover to carry on tour. Outdoor cover: Must be waterproof and cover whole bike with panniers AND TOPCASE Half cover: Must be waterproof and cover windshield, saddle and topcase There's lots of good choices out there: Dowco, Nelson-Riggs, Oxford, etc. Your recommendations, please, and a pic with the cover on the bike if you are able to. Thanks from Edmonton (where it is snowing again, dammit.) Tim Link to comment
realshelby
Don't have any pics. Or input on full cover. But I have used 2 different Nelson Rigg UV2000 covers for many years. They are hard to beat for packing on the bike and using to protect the bike when parked up at work or trips. Maybe the biggest "unknown" is the BMW lightweight cover! I think I paid under $40 at the BMW dealer. Was picking up my then new RT and asked if I might try it on the bike. With factory topcase it fits perfect. Looks good and has a built in pouch. Best cover I have used. Bike is never wet under it, but I would not call it waterproof. Wraps up small. Put it away wet and it never smells or mildews. These have a similar material to the UV 2000. LBump
See what they say about the water proofing... maybe it'll work for you. LINK Link to comment

hopz
I used the one from Wal-Mart for the trip to Wisconsin Rally. Worked great, inexpensive. Link to comment
