I got a bad scratch on my left saddlebag cover (the painted part). Are these covers removable? I need to take it off, if possible, so the paint shop can fix.

You may want to give this a try first.     https://colorndrive.com/en    I bought some in the color of my car so that I may practice if I ever need it for the bikes.  I will need to order the colors for the bikes.  After watching the videos on how they do it, it appears I may be able to try it with success,  At least watch the video to see what you think..

Sorry if I did not answer you query about removing the cover.  I know some panniers have separate pieces, but yours I cannot tell, which kind it is escapes me at the moment.   :5146:

What year, model?

Its a 2018 R1200RT. Here’s another picture of the saddlebag. I don’t have any painting skills so, I’d like to take it to a pro.

Looking on Max micro fische, it appears that they are capable.  Check it out:

You could always take the whole side bag to the painter and they can mask it off.

The lid is held on with 4 screws (2 on each hinge), Once the lids are off, the paint shop should be able to take it from there.

Hopefully Biker_911, you got your panel color matched and painted. After the new paint has fully cured and hardened, you may want to look at paint protection film.  Tankslapper makes specific kits for many bikes, including RT’s, including just the side cases or full body kits.
