rickmoen Posted April 13, 2006 Share Posted April 13, 2006 While looking at the pathetic tool kit that came with my '05 R1200RT, I thought I should get a better kit! The cost from BMW is rather high, so I'm wondering, can I go to Sears (or elsewhere) and get better quality tools for the the same or less money? What does the (better, but expensive) BMW tool kit contain or should contain? Thanks. Link to comment

SkidMark Posted April 13, 2006 Share Posted April 13, 2006 I started to buy a tool kit but then, I decided that If the bike does a shut down of some sort, I still would not be able to make it start up. I do carry a number of Torx in case something comes loose but mostley..I carry a cell phone. What I thought was important was a Cyclepump and plugs! Link to comment
