roadscholar Posted March 1, 2019 Posted March 1, 2019 Good call Chris, I try to get there whenever remotely in the area and have taken a lot of folks there over the years and all came away impressed. Richard is truly a great guy, I asked him once why he didn't set up shop in Highlands 30 minutes up the mountain where he could easily get twice what he charges in Franklin. He said mainly because Highlands is seasonal and he wanted to take care of his employees long term and was opposed to laying them off. Not mentioned in the article is that he's a serious Porsche aficionado, has owned many and it shows in the decor as well as a nice collection of vintage cameras. 3
steve.foote Posted March 1, 2019 Posted March 1, 2019 Been there several times. Always good! Roadscholar brought me the first time, said something about "getting something to eat at the gas station." If Bill recommends a place to eat, go there. 1
Marty Hill Posted March 1, 2019 Posted March 1, 2019 Truly a great restaurant. Often a Porsche parked outside. What could be better? 1
lawnchairboy Posted March 1, 2019 Author Posted March 1, 2019 I should have said "one of the MANY great places Bill has shown to me". 1
