bulletbill Posted February 26, 2019 Posted February 26, 2019 The key cylinder that releases the seat has become loose? Havn't had time (been sick) the see how to repair. Got ideas? More info. The key cylinder in the rear fender that releases the rear seat has become unattached to the fender. So it makes turning difficult nothing to hold the cylinder still? The bike is a 2007 BMW R1200RT.

Got ideas? Morning Bulletbill What bike? __ is this on your 2007 1200RT? Can you tell us more about exactly what part is loose (like what is doing what in relation to what?) Lots of possibilities on the repair but we need to have more info to help you.
Indy Dave Posted February 26, 2019 Posted February 26, 2019 (edited) If you remove your rear taillight, see first photo - one screw on each side of the bike. You'll see the mechanism - second photo. Sorry- I've been or riding in the elements. Please post back on your results. Edited February 26, 2019 by Indy Dave 1
