BarnRat
A couple weeks ago I purchased a 2001 R1200C Phoenix (Independent) with 9.5K miles. Here's a pic . . . 2 Link to comment

Miguel!
Gorgeous!! Love it. I don't see those very often but always admire them. Looks tricky to keep clean and polished. Miguel! 1 Link to comment
RTinNC
I was always a "lover" of them and THAT model was one of my favorites! That color was superb! Congrats and many happy miles of smiles. 1 Link to comment
fourteenfour
my second BMW was a new 98 1200C , Ivory with the brown (BMW said red) seat and bags. Purchased at Blue Moon Cycle in Atlanta. I kept that until I bought a 2004 RT. Have owned two different R1200Cs since trying to recapture that feel of what I had from the first one. 1 Link to comment
Tri750
I put a decent number of miles on several R1200C's when they were current. I really liked the Phoenix. The too small gas tank matched the uncomfortable seat . But really, the bike was fun to ride. Whenever we took bikes to an event or Motorsports Show, I always rode the C. Just enjoyed the engine a bunch. typical bmw, some of the color choices seemed be chosen by a styling commitee seated in a darkened room. But the Phoenix was spot on. 1 Link to comment
Rob Nowell
I had a '98 as well. It was called, I believe, Canyon Red? Basically a burgandy with the "red" seats & grips. A stunningly beautiful bike which ALWAYS drew attention, even from "Harley Guys." (Those were the best to catch staring!) It began to nickle and dime me, so I sold it. Now I have a Moto Guzzi Eldorado as my cruiser/around town bike. Oh....it turns heads, as well! Link to comment
The Rocketman
I LOVE it, but then again, I may be a bit biased!! 3 Link to comment
