Bernie
What a great day for a ride. 416 (s)miles, a little cool for Florida weather, but no fog and dry. Home around 6:15 pm or so. I had a great time catching up with a lot of longtime friends and enjoyed a good meal. On the way south I stopped in Gainesville for a bagel and coffee. When I got to Fanning Springs, I decided to check out a local park. They have a Steel Truss from the old bridge on display. I got to Cedar Key a little early, found a place to park and had some nice conversations with friends. Also some of the Bumbling BackRoad Riders™ got together. 3 Link to comment

Kinsley
It was great to see everyone and the over nighters had a great time as usual. I started out with a little rain but it cleared 60 miles North of Cedar Key. 7.5 hrs to Woodstock, GA and light traffic until just outside of Atlanta. 2 Link to comment
DaveCinNO
Made it to my first stop on the way home. What a great weekend, nice to see everyone. Weather cooperated...until this morning. The rain surprised me but was able to ride out of it in an hour. Thanks for doing this, Tim! Link to comment
Indy Dave
Tim - What a cool hideaway you've staked out. "Island time" suits us quite well! We enjoyed the time away from the frozen tundra and it was great to spend time with familiar and new folks alike. Thanks for making Shawn feel at home, she enjoyed meeting so many she's only heard about. And as I said, what a great excuse to get away and grab a quick change of scenery. We're home and .... FREEZING!!! Quite a temperature drop. 2 Link to comment
Mango
What a great reintroduction to the board. Thanks Tim and Ken, and nice meeting everyone! Ride up from Miami 380 mi) was beautiful 60 and sunny. The ride back was a bit different- 43 and raining for most of the trip. Link to comment
tallman
So, we had fun. Seemed like the islands wove their magic for everyone. First time attendees varied from long time board members like Dave C, Jake, Peanut, and first ever event folks from the Tampa group. Indy Dave and his much better half, Shawn, adapted to the demanding struggles like veterans. Bob (Mango) rode over from Miami, was good to see another old timer resurface. Bernie, after leading hundreds over the years, to Cedar Key, did a solo trip. Richard D found his way across state and immediately lit up the place with his great smile. Calvin, well no socks on the K 1600. Marty DWMHD and drove the Porsche Boxster. Ken & Kate were early riding arrivals, just ahead of the large group from Tampa. 50-60 folks braved the frigid Florida weather for food, freinds, fun. Some pictures from lunch, dinner, the cruise, etc. Cedar Key XVI, January 2020 will be January 24-26. Lunch, Saturday, January 25th. Dock Street. Reservations already made. Rumours that McGruff's Friday NIght Happy Hour may have chili, if chilly. 2 Link to comment
