Seems like I keep moving far other way from these events, LOL!

That's never stopped you before.  SS1000 for a taco or BB1500 numerous times just to say hi for 30 minutes in Torrey.  After all that rain up there you could use some dry desert time.

I think this was on the way to DVD, with Mt Whitney in the background, in the background, upper right of pic.

I'd guess this was on Whitney Portal Rd.  I don't recall any pullouts that wide on Horseshoe Meadows Rd.

It’s ON! DVD 2019, November 8,9,10 Veterans Day weekend!

Room rates at the luxurious Exchange Club.   $66 a night!

You have to make an old skool phone call 775-553-2333 and tell them you’re with the BMW group.

The Sourdough Saloon is up and serving a full menu again, so Saturday night dinner if you choose.

The Happy Burro is stocking up with chili dogs and PBR for fine dining, and the bar at the VFW is open to us.

So come on out, great roads, spectacular scenery, but best of all is the people there!

See ya in November Don J

Oh yeah!

And Sherman pass should be open......

Well that line got my attention.  In the process of moving my bike into storage down south that week anyway.

Booked at the Exchange Club on the 8th, 9th & 10th.  Anyone interested in sharing the Sequoia Tree Mini-suite or similar shared accommodation at the Kern Lodge on Thursday send me a pm.

Anyone got room for a truck and trailer in their driveway for a week or so ?

Booked for Beatty.  I'm curious to see what's left of Trona after the big one.  There wasn't much standing before the quake.

Seriously.  I've been through Trona once or twice, quite a few years ago, and when I saw the quake coverage I was astonished to find that enough people live there for it to have schools!

I'm in with reservation at the Exchange Club.  Arriving Thursday evening and departing Sunday.  Its been a couple years so I'm really looking forward to it.  I'll be coming alone from Tucson leaving around 0400 Thursday morning so if someone along the way wants to ride along, PM me and we'll make arrangements.  Cheers,

BTW, you can book the Kern Lodge online at https://www.thekernlodge.com.  I gather some folks were having trouble getting them on the phone.

Aaaaaand, I'm out.  My daughter had hip surgery on 10/7.  Originally, she was only supposed to be on crutches for two weeks, and I went up to SFO for a planned two weeks to help her (and her dog) out.  But they found issues and had to do a graft, and now she has to be on crutches for six weeks, so we're all back at my house until Thanksgiving.

sorry Bill, I hope your daughter mends up quickly.

Thanks, Sebastian!  She's doing really well, better than her surgeon or PT expected, with very little pain.  She just can't carry anything or walk her dog.

That's too bad, Bill.  It has been a long time since we've crossed paths.  But I should be in the San Diego area once or twice this winter so expect a message.

Hi folks.  I'm semi-new here.  Was a member for a short time about ten years ago, but then life got in the way of riding.  But I'm past that phase now and looking forward to riding more.  Have made reservations at the Exchange Club and (I think) the Kern Lodge.  Not sure about the latter as the email confirmation says "Hotel Kernville CA East," but the street address is correct, so hopefully it's the same place.

Looking forward to meeting folks and some great riding.
