TEWKS
At the 4:00 mark the 1928 Henderson gets the nod. Pat Link to comment
mrzoom
Now I remember why me knee went out. Starting my 66 Sportster with magneto retard and a pumper tillison carb was an art. Getting it started was so sweet. You never wanted to shut it off because it might not start. All our taverns were at the top of hills. Link to comment
TEWKS
Funny how a little internal-combustion music can teach you some history. Sort of useless ( but interesting ) info I didn't know about Henderson Motorcycles. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henderson_Motorcycle Pat Link to comment
walton66
That Bohmerland was really interesting. I've never heard of this marque before. Link to comment
fourteenfour
I get confused by the Henderson sale, is that the same engine that was Ace motors that was later sold to Indian? Link to comment
TEWKS
Agree, it does seem very confusing. My best guess is it was the same motor with improvements incorporated along the way before ending up in Indian's hands. Pat Link to comment
Paul De
That Bohmerland was really interesting. I've never heard of this marque before. +1 on the Bohmerland. it sounded soooo nice. The flat head Hawg right at the start of the video was freaking weird in that it idled like a clock ticks...no potato-potato, fart-pop, potato like you would expect. Sorry, the '28 BMW sounded like a bucket of loose bolts Link to comment
Paul De
Ooops. that first bike was an Indian...no wonder I was freaked out at how smooth it idled, I have never heard a Hawg idle that smoothly Link to comment
