saline Posted August 8, 2018 I don't know if I missed it in the K1600B manual, but when storing a bike for a long period of time -such as winter- is there a way to put the bike to sleep? In other words, turn of function that is looking for the key and monitoring other stuff?

Afternoon saline Yes, just disconnect one of the battery cables as that will shut off all battery draining parasitic draws. If bike has a service monitor using internal date that might not read correctly after the battery is re-connected in the spring (no big deal though).
saline Posted August 16, 2018 Thanks. I understand the time is set from the GPS, so that shouldn't be a problem.
