saline
Any suggestions as to how to jack a K1600B off it's tires? My Venom jacks don't fit, and they say they do not have them for the B. Ideally, I'd like to jack from the center lifting both wheels at the same time. Link to comment
Dennis Andress
Rear: I used this for the rear of our K1300 Ss, but I don't see it listed for the K1600 https://www.pit-bull.com/bmw-motorcycles/bmw-motorcycles/bmw-k1200-k1300/hybrid-one-armed-rear-bmw-see-description-for-fitments-f0099-400 Front: This is listed for the K1600. You have to use both stands to get the front up. This stand won't work with the center stand https://www.pit-bull.com/bmw-motorcycles/bmw-motorcycles/bmw-k1600/bmw-forklift-front-stand-for-bmw-k-bikes-f0100-400 Link to comment
gordiet
Put the bike on the center stand. That gets the rear wheel off the ground. Now go to harbor freight and buy one of there cheap little scissor jacks. find a piece of half inch plywood about a foot square and put it under the header pipes with the jack under the plywood. Carefully raise the jack until the front wheel comes off the ground. Don’t raise it to far or you’ll be lifting the whole bike. I’ve been lifting my k1600 this way for years. GT Link to comment
eddd
Why both wheels at the same time...from the center? I do that on my small dual sport, but would be hesitant trying it on a bike the size of the K1200. What are you working on? Link to comment
