dirtrider
Aloha All, Just put a set of BMW OEM park pads on the 1100. What break in procedure do you guys recommend. What type of pad is the OEM? Morning John Just do a light burnish (few light stops then allow to cool) then do a few moderate stops & allow to cool (you can keep riding as they cool just don't use the brakes if possible). No real hard stops from speed until they have some moderate stops on them (you don't want to glaze the pads) As to pad material type?-- That depends, tell us the 1100 model that you have & if possible the OEM brake pad part number. Roger C
As a comparison, your brake part lists for $82+. Aftermarket EBC lists for about $40 or less, double sintered. Link to comment
Lowndes
EBC pads are well known and liked by many. $30 or less on Amazon. Link to comment
