mig
Ok getting pretty crazy with the questions, but. I am already seeing a slight wear on my knee and tank panels. Wondering what people are using. I see the tech spec system for the knee and tank, but what protection for the colored body panels in between the black ones, clear films or ??? Link to comment
reg26
I bought the Xpel protection for my Matte finish paint here, It's self healing if it gets scratched and you can barley see it. Also bought the Xpel film for panniers and headlight too. Was very easy install also http://thetankslapper.biz/r1200rt-tank-protector-2014-2016/ Link to comment
realshelby
The mesh kevlar gear I ride in is rather abrasive to paint. I seen that right away on the RT when new. Bought the Wunderlich tank protectors. These are fairly thick, stick up about .175" which keeps stuff away from the paint. Talked with a policeman that had the clear stick on protectors on their RT, he said they have to replace it as they wear through it. Don't know about that, but the Wunderlich protectors will last the bike out. Wunderlich Tank Protectors Link to comment
