Weather Radar Experts?

I like to use an app called "MyRadar" to check weather forecasts and look at weather radar animations.

Today I saw an interesting "thing" on the radar.

 

Check this out.

 

 

What created that long line that gives a pretty strong reflection?

Moves pretty fast west to east, but also seems to move with other rain reflections to south-southeast.

 

Unfortunately in MyRadar you can't hand pick the time you want to watch.

Just before I got the screen recording figured out, the streak was even more pronounced that in the time window that I got captured.

Is that line the Sierras, could it be snow?

I'm talking about the green/yellow streak that starts from over the ocean and ends just on top of the Hwy-101 sign.

Moves left to right, about 2/3 the way down on the screen.

 

The white stuff in upper right is indeed the snow coming down in the Sierras.

Not an expert but my best guess is it's an anomaly from stiching radar imagery of two different/overlapping antennae to create a composit image.

 

That or the West coast has been invaded by aliens.......

I also use my radar as storms pop up very quickly in my area during the summer. You might also enjoy weather bug.It is also a free app.,and shows lightning strikes and distance

It's a line of heavy precipitation moving southeast. It may have been caused by a weak front, and it appears to be moving along with the storms in the Hanford - Tulare area.
