On a different scale we had one last night with a resident who was burned pretty badly. If not for his neighbor he would have had very little chance of surviving.

I think we're getting all their rain. Late November here normally means lakes freezing over and blizzards. Instead, yesterday we got something we'd normally see in early September - thunder, lightning and hail. And a hard rain, 'anvils and hamsters' as an acquaintance said.

Worse than I realized. Apparently high winds preceding the rain really spread the fires. ~100 buildings lost
