DIY modification on a Sargent seat?

Hello, was wondering if anyone has done a DIY modification to their Sargent seat?

 

Without being able to do a drive in, I'm contemplating doing a DIY mod on the seat. (A bit higher and lose a bit of the nose) Curious to know what's under the cover?

 

I'll either try myself or possibly just sell it. Cost of shipping back to Sargent and redo of seat is more than I want to spend, after already purchasing seat.

 

BTW - it's for a 14' RTWC - Standard heated seat.

I'd consider using a pro for something as important as that. For low-cost seat modifications I've used Spencer with great results.
