Paint Type Recommendation.

Hello BMW forum,

 

Planning a repaint for my 96 1100rt. Any recommendation on paint type to better handle the flexibility of the fiberglass parts.

 

Single stage or two stage?

I believe that the original paint is PU with a clear coat. PU has an average durability, but is flexible. You could shot it with a HVLP gun with a 1.4 tip. But, check the specs on the paint. The clear coat might require a different tip.
