Mark C
Was searching for heated grips malfunction and now when I try to start bike I get big EWS on gauges. I dis-connected battery and hope after awhile it will re-set. Don't know what the code means? Mark Link to comment
JR356
Possibly antenna ring failure for built in anti theft system. A known problem. Make sure you do not have other chipped ignition keys near the antenna ring that surrounds your ignition switch at the same time as your bike key.i If you have a spare ignition or the emergency key on the same key ring,it will confuse the system and give you the warning. If it will not reset, then antenna ring will need replacement to the later style. There are past posts here and other sites on the web about how to do this. JR356 Link to comment
George S.
Isn't that the electronic ring that reads the key to allow it to start the bike? Went bad on my 2011RT and needed a tow to the dealership. EDIT: What JR said! ^^^ Link to comment

dirtrider
Evening Mark Make sure that you didn't somehow dislodge the antenna ring plug (if it isn't solidly plugged in you will get an EWS & a no-start) There is probably a plastic cover over that connector. Link to comment

Sonor
You are lucky, mine turned out to be a brand new computer. $1400 later the bike works again. Link to comment
