Skywagon
Well had to take a client to dinner tonight. Client recommended the restaurant...Coat and Tie...could not wear motorcycle jacket Four folks, $535 bill and wait for it....food sucked, snoody waiters who were pretty sure I was blessed to be in their presence. Came home and ate the ms.s cooking. Nearly starved on cute food. Link to comment

Chris K
I made this Shrimp Scampi over the weekend except I used angel-hair pasta instead of linguine. Not too buttery like a lot of scampi recipes. http://www.thekitchn.com/recipe-garlicky-shrimp-scampi-229205 Link to comment

Might change my mind when they pay me to eat in their dining room. Link to comment

I ask because I used to be on the receiving side of this sort of thing, i.e., being the client, and had numerous meals in Dallas and Houston. I never had anything short of excellent in terms of service and food. As for what's cooking, last night's menu consisted of chicken gumbo with andouille sausage. Yea baby! Link to comment

Red
I have ventured into Indian cuisine the past two weeks. Have prepared asparagus sambhar, chettinad lamb kulambu, and chettinad chicken kulambu. All were quite good. Took a fair amount of slicing, dicing, and organization, but not technically difficult. Got the recipes from "Healthy South Indian Cooking" latest edition. Awful lot of vegetarian dishes. I'm confident I can adapt them to carnivorous dining. Link to comment
