Trobinson
I have a used tranny from a '99r1100 (according to the seller) but I cannot find the sn anywhere. I've looked on the right side, underneath, on top, the left side and no number. Also, no sign of it being filed. Any ideas? Link to comment
Christo
Can you post a picture of your transmission and where you think the serial number should be? That might help folks determine if you have the right one. Here's the guide I used to determine the compatibility of a used tranny, in case you don't already know about it. http://www.largiader.com/tech/oiltrans/ Link to comment
Trobinson
Morning SnakePlisskin, I do know of Anton's site and I've linked to pics I took this morning. I'm sure it's compatible with my bike, I'd just like to be able to be sure of what I have. I've cycled it through all the gears (not an easy task off the bike) and it engages all of them. It does seem to have a lot of slop in first, but perhaps that is normal. I'll have to compare it to the one on the bike. Used 5 speed (M97?) Link to comment
Trobinson
I just found it! It's on the front case on top. Difficult to see on the black, but I just saw it when I zoomed in on one of the right side pics. The letters at the end are EAF (the F is very hard to make out) so it is an M97. Link to comment
