Side stand replacement - revisted

I finally got around to trying to replace the side stand on my 1150RT.

Everything went as planned until I tried to remove the bolt holding the stand on.

There was just no way that I could get it to budge.

Those side stand bolts can be kind of a pain to loosen.

 

You might need to use some heat from a high power heat gun or a pin-point torch on the inner ear of the side stand to get that pivot-bolt to loosen.
