I want to add a battery tender to my new to me 1994 R1100RS , usually this small amount of charging is ok with the battery hooked into the bike's electrical system but want to make sure this is acceptable to do on my model bike. BNA Pete Posted February 24, 2016 Share Posted February 24, 2016 Just make sure you use a battery tender, not just a trickle charger. A proper battery tender monitors the voltage, charges when it drops below a certain point and stops when it gets above a certain point. An always-on charger can burn out your battery. Link to comment
