SinNH
Just bought my first "Vehicle" GPS, handheld before this with a Garmin 60Csx, which I never really learned how to use totally. The Via1515M Tomtom seem just what the doctor ordered, simple, easy to self learn on, outstanding map base IMHO, took three hours to update, and recalculates quickly. Question, does anyone know of a source of an adapter that will work with the female round mount hole ( about 1/2" dia ) on the back of the TT to a one inch Ram ball? I can't find anything searching. Thanks, Steve Link to comment
lkraus
I'm not finding any pictures of the Via mount. If there is no provision to screw a RAM ball mount to the rear of the GPS you may need to use something like an X-Grip: Or, Amazon and Ebay also offer a number of cases that might be adaptable, and add a degree of water proofing. I used one of these with our old TomTom GO630 (4.3" screen) for a few rides until my wife wanted her GPS back. It worked pretty well and actually improved the touch screen sensitivity with gloves. The included mount probably will not work, but it is easy to unscrew and the hole spacing works for a simple RAM ball. Link to comment
SinNH
Ikraus, thanks for the leads. I like the zippered enclosure and the idea of a tad of waterproofing. I'll check it out on Ebay. Steve Link to comment
