BMW helmet communications kit

What's the difference between the small helmet kit and the large one? Is it the length of the wire leads for the various parts?

 

I've installed one of these in a non-Schuberth helmet (with a lot of jerry-rigging) and am considering doing another. If it's just shorter wire leads, I think I can make that work.

 

Anybody have experience with this?

I've installed a couple dozen of these headsets and I've never compared the two kits side by side. Never had the need to or the curiosity to really.

 

the things I can think of is the length of the boom for the mic may be shorter in the small kit and the wiring from the battery pack to the mother board may be shorter due to the smaller diameter shell. Wiring between the two speakers has always been plenty long .
