Unless you are that old or are implying BMW clones such as those built in China and the USSR, not many bikes that fit the bill.

Victoria Bergmeister (sidecars were rare but existed)

AWO/Simson 405/425

NSU Consul

Horex Imperator

Of course I take the car itself was a Steib. ;)

Not THAT old, but a 1964 250 cc Simpson was my dream bike as a child.

My neighbor had one. Built in DDR, nowhere close to a BMW 250R but the closest thing to it.

Cheers!

Simson two stroke mopeds are still pretty damn popular in Austria and especially Switzerland. Usually owned by youths and very lovingly kept.

I once met a group of them near Luzerne: one of them was towing a small (registered and hence road legal) trailer with luggage, not without some problems.

Good ol' Simsonet..

Pedal started, the the old fisherman's delight.

Run out of gas, or to much beer, you can still pedal home :)

Still, i liked the big brother 250 better! :)
