RTJohn
I took a long ride on Sunday to get my 2013 RT to the 6k mile mark and change the oil. When I loosened the drain plug the crankcase oil literally blew out for a second or two. I don't recall this happening with my 2010 RT. The bike ran fine the whole way. Any thoughts...? dirtrider
Morning John That happens & is normal. Just open the oil fill cap first, or allow the bike to sit for a while, before opening the drain plug (you are lucky that you didn't burn your hand) Link to comment
6speedTi
That happened to me once. I figured crankcase still had some pressure trapped inside plus the oil is still hot and venting heat. I always change my oil right after a ride and let it drain out overnight. Link to comment
