kioolt Posted August 12, 2015 Share Posted August 12, 2015 My bike now has almost 161k on it. I believe that I should at least check the alternator brushes. The last time I had the tank off for other reasons I didn't see any obvious easy way to remove the alternator. I looked in my factory shop manual and it seems to contradict itself. Under "Removing and Installing Alternator" it states to remove the alternator cover mount first and it refers to a page telling how to do that. On the "Alternator Cover Mount" removal page it has you removing the alternator before the mount. Has anyone actually done this and how? Link to comment
