Location of transmission part number 2008 RT (maybe)

I am aware that BMW made a driveline change in Jan 08. My bike's serial number entered in this site comes back as a date of manufacture of 2007/08. Not much definitive help in my case.

I have found several instances where my 2008 tittle bike has 2007 parts on it.

 

I mention the above because I have available to me a driveshaft that will fit a 2007 but not an 2008. Therefore I am trying to determine the what year transmission I have by the part number.

 

Where is the number located?
