Taylor 1983
Any ideas what I can do to cover speakers while washing and rinsing my R1200RT? Link to comment
mneblett
Why? They are designed to deal with rain. Link to comment
PadG
No needs to! I have thoroughly drenched the area every time that the bike gets washed. Link to comment
Taylor 1983
Ok and thanks. I'll probably try not to drench the area. Link to comment
strataj
As others have said water isn't a problem. Be sure NOT to use a pressure washer on any part of the bike. Jay Link to comment
Skywagon
I have the 14RT....I wash that area with soap and light water many times over the last year....no issues. I hold the hose such that is water down from the top. I don't aim it directly at it. Link to comment

I always set my hose on spray when washing the bike, and set to jet only to blast the critter carcasses out of the fins of the radiators! Link to comment
