DMilan
Hello All, I just made an error. I locked the top of my 28 Liter BMW Top-case without the top being in the closed position. Now, when I press the cylinder in, the latches will not release. Any help? The case is currently in use on my 2014 RT, but I have used it on my 2008 GT as well. Thanks, d'milan Link to comment
99Roadster
I assume you unlocked it when trying to open it. Try pressing it with the key inserted to give more leverage to be sure it's fully depressed. Link to comment

DMilan
For those that are interested... I had given up on being able to unlatch the case. Posted about it Called dealer techs.. Banged on the sides and back pried lightly on the latch pulled a bit aggressively on the release nothin' I decided I'd let a local tech tear it apart and fix it. Jumped on the bike, closed the case as far as it would.. didn't even bungee it...rode the 15 minutes to the dealership. Mostly freeway. Heard the top bangin' around a bit behind me... no big deal. Arrived at the dealership, the tech walked around to the back of the bike , pressed the release button , and the latch opened. Seems that the ride over, with a few bumps and such, freed whatever was bound. All fixed... Tech said, 100 bucks??? I agreed, but left without paying. Link to comment
