AnotherLee
Springtime. And you feel like grabbin a handful of throttle on a backroad. Know the feeling? Link to comment
szurszewski
Do you happen to know who it was, Lee? I know the spot - I'll drive through there MANY times this summer for a class I teach out in Estacada, and that's R1100R, right? (Or maybe it's an 1150 or 850 - I don't know them well enough to tell them apart from the front...) ... In answer to your question, yep - I know the feeling. It's not good when you do that and then realize you're worried about the gaurd rail and start targetting it... glad he seems to basically be ok! josh Link to comment
AnotherLee
Over the guardrail and just broke his leg. Lucky man. Don't know him or the bike. HH0 and I saw a 1-vehicle crash on that road just a few weeks ago. Link to comment
szurszewski
Yes- very lucky, and yes, lots of single vehicle crashes on that road. My school does a driver ed class at Estacada HS each summer, and we are pretty attuned to what goes on out there. That said, it's a beautiful bit of Oregon and a road I really like - kind of like the beer/etc. commercials: if used responsibly Link to comment
