monkey
Hi I have an 03 k 1200 gt can anyone tell me if it can be lowered as I have only got short legs and find it difficult to control the bike on different terrain. Any advice would be great as it would be a shame to get rid of the bike as it has only done 15500 miles but I can just about touch the floor with tip toes. Link to comment
Tri750
Most of the original BMW shocks can be rebuilt in a "low" configuration. I've sent numerous shocks for lowering and general rebuilding to http://www.le-suspension.com They are located in Southern Califorina. The cost to rebuild/re spring shocks has been creeping up lately but it is still less expensive than purpose built low shocks from Works Performance or other makers. You can expect 1.5 to 2.0 inches lower. Check into handlebar risers as a shorter rider leaned over has a more difficult time than a shorter rider on say, an RT where one is upright. Good luck Link to comment
