Squirtstoy21
I have purchased this bike and it needs a new side stand. Where is the best place to buy a replacement or is there a "creative way" to fix it? I call the part that is broke...where your boot hits it to bring it down. The extension piece has been thrown away. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Craig Link to comment

OoPEZoO
I might have one. I can't remember if I sold it or not. I'll check tomorrow when I get home from work. Link to comment

eddd
I appreciate the response. I called him and he has me on his list. Craig I wouldn't put much hope in that list. You'll have no idea when they might get a bike, or how many people are in front of you on the list. I was on two of their lists over ten years ago. Still waiting to hear back. Link to comment
DavidEBSmith
Take it to a good welder and have a new metal loop welded on. Or order a new one from BMW. $168. Easy to replace. The "creative" way to fix it is to clamp a Vice-Grip pliers onto the side stand, wrap a piece of duct tape around the two handles so it doesn't spring apart. I rode from somewhere in South Dakota to Missoula MT and back to Chicago with my bike like that. Link to comment
