The plastic tabs which are on each side of windscreen need to be cleaned. Can the tabs be removed? Does anyone have a good technique for cleaning?

Morning Wayne

I use Swab-Its Gun Cleaning Foam Swabs (basically a foam swab on stick).

They work great inside those plastic wind deflectors & then a flush with fresh water & blow dry with my air drier.

Those tabs are held on by screws from underneath, don't try to pull them off. I think I'm going to paint the inside of the forward portion the next time I have the fairing apart.

Thanks for the suggestions. I have used cotton ear swabs, but they only clean the top half. I will try the swab its patches next.

I like the idea of painting the parts. Painting them black would

help solve the problem. I think they would eventually get more road grime. It may not be as noticeable.

Again, thanks for the suggestions.

Another GS rider I presume. I was caught in a snow storm and the road crap seems to gather under those pesky tabs.

I went tried to purchase the swab its at two gun shops, no luck finding them yet.
