Could be the hand of God. How fast do you ride? Sorry for the dumb joke, I do that once in a while.

Never heard of this but, somebody, ok (DR) ;) will probably have a thought on it.

Around here we are pretty good at finding solutions, but you will probably need to give us some clues. Like when did this start, under what circumstances, service history, any accident history, etc.

Might help if you add your general location to your profile. Someone nearby might be able to help you locate the problem, refer you to a good mechanic or advise you on local ghost infestations.

Does the brake light activate when this happens?

Does the ABS brake indicator on the dashboard act normally?

Do you mean it feels like someone hit the brakes, or do they drag constantly (especially after they've been activated)?

The brakes on my "05" R1200RT apply with out hand or foot lever application.

Any feed back at all is welcome.

Morning UROCYCL

Based on your "very limited" explanation of what is happening then about all we can say is: there is something wrong with your brakes.

SO tell us more, LOTS MORE--

When did the problem start?

How far do you have to ride it before the brakes self apply?

How hard do they self apply?

Do they self release after self apply?

Any brake pedal or hand lever adjustments made prior to the problem showing up?

Sitting still with key on can you hear the servo pumps start & stop when you use the use the hand lever or the foot pedal?

What are dash warning lights doing_ after roll-off?, while riding?, during self apply?

ANYTHING else done to the bike lately, or service done lately, or pedal lowering kit, or ?????__ ANYTHING, we need to know everything done.

You give us a one sentence complaint & you get back lots of questions with few useful answers. If you tell us the whole story then you will get back solid useful info on your problem.

Good one Pat.

Welcome UROCYCL! Please don't be discouraged. The more details you can provide the more helpful we can be to you.

Dave
