It is time to start planning the 4th Annual JVB Tech Day. It is open to ALL BIKES!

This year it will be April 18, 2015 at my home in Alexandria, VA.

As always food and drink (non-alcoholic) will be provided, hot coffee and bagels in the morning and lunch of burgers, dogs, chili and a few sides. All complimentary!

All you have to do is show up. Come with maintenance or farkle installation in mind, or just to hang out and watch. There will be several people available to lend a hand, tools, GS-911 and Harmonizer for the BMW people, and space to work.

ALL bikes are welcome, and nearly any level of work to be accomplished. Last year we had 38 bikes, with plenty of room for more. I will have at least one lift, hopefully two, and space for lots of work to get done. Tire changes can also be done (you can have them delivered to me, just PM me).

Great door prizes from www.jvbproductions.com and www.Beemerboneyard.com !

Please let me know what you would like to see from Beemer Boneyard!

Also, http://shop.hexdiagnostics.co.za/ and http://www.gs911usa.com/ have generously supplied me with the GS911 and the GS911 wifi for use at the tech day!

Bring your supplies, and we will put them to work!

PM me with your interest and I will give my address a week or so before the Tech Day.

I have attended many of Jim's Tech Day Events in the past - they are GREAT! If you can I highly recommend you attend.

I will miss this one - I have a good excuse. Planning on departing on 4/15/15 to ride to Dustin, FL (high school buddies every 5 year gathering), over to Orlando to visit my 95 yr old Dad, then back up to our BMWST START event before heading back home to DC.

That is a nice door prize.

However, I don't think that unit will do anything beyond what I can do with my 2008 unit, other than wifi.

Or does it have more features?

Pretty much the same on your bike, but it works with the new Wetheads and K1600 series yours does not.

Well, I'll surely show if there's still some room left at the Inn. As I'm in Alex as well (and have both a 2010+2013 Camhead video and a GS-911), I feel prepared to step up to JVB 3-D!

Need coordinates, though, and if I can bring anything beyond a healthy curiosity.

Yet another set of awesome donations for the Tech Day on the 18th! Tony at CycleNuts has generously donated a set of ROX Risers for a 2004-2012 R1200GS or to a 2013 R1200GSA! PLUS, a FuzeBlock for any bike. Great system I have used many times with an integral relay! www.cyclenutz.com is worth the visit for great motorcycle accessories!

Food and drink procured via Costco!

Lots to drink, burgers, hot dogs, chili and bagels, cream cheese with coffee for breakfast.

The weather is looking pretty good so far. Partly cloudy and low 70° with a low chance of rain!

With all the chance to learn to do your own work, great door prizes, cool people to BS with and a couple of free meals, there is no reason not to come.:wave

I look forward to seeing you there!

Yah, let me add my appreciation to Jim for hosting this terrific event, and for helping so many of us leave with more know-how than had when we arrived. Great bunch of folks, too.

Lots of people helped each other in this tech day. Special thanks to Dina, Tina, Umberto and Kelly for the hard work in feeding the crew, and keeping things going smoothly!
