John Ranalletta
Rationality almost won out. A bill to end net metering (utilities pay retail for electricity purchased from solar installations) will die. Developers and investors and who profit plenty and 1%-ers who can afford to install home systems will continue to benefit at the expense of the poorest rate payers. What nonsense. Developers made big $ developing solar farm on local airport property and sold it to a South Korean investor while local utility pays retail and connect fees for the power. WTF? If it was a good deal, why wouldn't the power company build the farm? Perhaps, there should be legislation permitting solar panels only in wind farms. At least it would corral all the subsidized nonsense in the same place. Link to comment
russell_bynum
If it was a good deal, why wouldn't the power company build the farm? Because everyone knows the power companies only care about destroying the environment and killing puppies. They are too focused on those goals to worry about doing things that are profitable. Obviously. Link to comment
