MikeRC
The following are some gravel road suggestions in the Moscow area. Sorry no GPS files, you'll have to look at a map And it should be pretty obvious there will be NO CELL PHONE SERVICE!! 1) Skyline Drive (Mary Minerva McCroskey State Park). WA 27 north to Farmington, WA. North out of Farmington on Pigeon Hole Rd takes you to the ridge road. 22-25 miles to Hwy 95. Good gravel. Scenic. 2) Lolo Motorway Forestry Road 500. Over 100 miles of gravel that roughly follows the Lewis & Clark Expedition path. Frequently used by off-roading groups in Jeeps & ATVs. Some historic markers of possible Lewis & Clark campsites. 3) Moscow Mountain. Local landowners, bicycling and hiking groups have largely banded together to limit access to motorized vehicles trying to get to the top of the mountain. 4) Clarkia - Avery bypass (Forestry road 301). Fifty miles of good gravel. 5) Grandad Bridge...crosses Dworshak between Elk River and Pierce. Super nice views. 36 miles of gravel on Forest road 1705/247. 6) Central Grade Road...south from Genessee for best views. Fast gravel. 7) South of Asotin to Weissenfels Ridge Road/285 to Montgomery Ridge Rd and on to Rattlesnake Summit 8) Clear Creek Road between Kamiak Butte and the Palouse Colfax road. has a really nice view of the Palouse Hills 9) Palouse River/ Emerald Creek Rd (Forestry Rd 447) from Harvard to Emerald Creek 10) Palouse Divide Road (Forestry Rd 377) east off Hwy 6 south of Emida to Boville Thanks again to over on ADVrider.
